![]() I said in a response to another comment all of the issues I have with this bag.ĭeuter Travel Belt. It’s really good for 4-6 hour hikes in cool weather when I don’t need to carry all that much water or extra layers I bought it for when I want to carry my EDC or EDC + iPad Mini but am in a more formal setting (going out to dinner, work meetings). It can just handle the everyday stuff plus the iPad and camera.īellroy City Pouch Plus. I just got this, so haven’t been able to put it through its paces, but I like it a good bit. It’s not the most comfortable thing in the world when fully loaded but it does the job.īellroy Sling Lite. I use haven’t had many instances of needing a full camera kit as of late, unfortunately. Peak Design 10L v1: It’s a really good bag for when I need for full camera kit and more. It is starting to show some wear, though. It’s great for the every day plus the iPad Mini. This has been my every day bag for a year-plus now. I’d like to carry a small water bottle or coffee thermos, but i haven’t found a good sling with good external water bottle carryĪrcteryx Mantis 2.Phone (this is the only thing that I keep in my pocket).Glasses (only really need them for driving).I was actually going through and planning on culling a bunch. It feels very secure once you put it on.I have used a lot of slings over the years, almost all of which are piled up in the corner of a closet. Buckling/unbuckling does take time to get used to but I've never had it accidentally unbuckle on me before. From my experience, it does make some noise when you raise it over your head to put on or take off the sling but it doesn't jingle while I'm wearing it and I don't think it's actually that loud in the first place. One concern I kept seeing about the Heimplanet was about the metal buckle- it either makes too much noise, is too hard to use, or accidentally comes apart too easily. I really like Peak Design's aesthetic as well, but I felt like it had too much padding and structure for me. The Heimplanet doesn't have any compression so it pretty much always looks the same, which to me is fine since it's already pretty compact. Shape-wise, I also like the Day Sling but both the City Sling and Bellroy seem too boxy to me when loaded. AER's aesthetic is very technical and Bellroy's canvas makes their slings look extremely casual. I like the shape and it's a good balance between technical and casual looking. ![]() ![]()
